Introduction

The department of sociology was started with establishment of college in 1993. Taking into account the unique role played by Sociology study for development of human being and also in social development of the nation and also Sociology can help reduce unemployment, then it can make a big improvement to social welfare. The institution has taken the remarkable decision to offer Sociology as the optional subject for the B.A.

 Objectives of the Department

The department of Sociology was started with the following objectives

• To develop interest in Sociology education among the students.
• To enable the students to know the role of sociology education in the development.
• To create employability in the region through provision of knowledge of Social aspects.
• To prepare student for the competitive exam like NET, SET, MPSC.
• To provide practical knowledge to students about Social type activities and make them self dependent.
