Introduction

The department of Economics was started with establishment of college in 1993. Taking into account the unique role played by Economics study for development of human being and also in economic development of the nation and also Economics can help reduce unemployment, then it can make a big improvement to economic welfare the institution has taken the remarkable decision to offer Economics as the optional subject for the B.A.

Objectives of the Department

The department of Economics was started with the following objectives

• To develop interest in Economics education among the students.
• To enable the students to know the role of Economics education in the economic development.
• To create employability in the region through provision of knowledge of Economical aspects.
• To prepare student for the competitive exam like NET, SET, MPSC, STI and Banking
• To aware student about the Indian economy, finance and budget of the country
• To provide practical knowledge to students about business type activities and make them self depended.
