Introduction

Dept. of Botany is established in June 2007 with 20 students at F.Y. B. Sc. level. This Department is integral part of the college and is one of the best Departments in Life Sciences. The Department runs courses B.Sc. (Three years degree course as one of the opt. subject).

 Every year student’s progression observed for M.Sc. Botany.

Strong points of the Department

In a short span of time Department has earned lot of reputation for providing quality education and fulfilling growing needs within the district and Dr B.A.M.U Jurisdiction. Dept. consists of well equipped Laboratory with Computing facility enabling the students to work. Enough laboratory time is made available to the students for maximum utilization of laboratory.
Our main strength is highly qualified and experienced faculty members actively engaged in research and are very enthusiastic in learning & updating their skills.
Dr. B.P. Sarwade has one Patent to his credit.
All three faculty members are Research Guide
Faculty members are always ready to guide students apart from regular teaching hours.

Extra curricular activities (students/social/annual etc.)

• Every year the Department arranges for Long and short excursion tour at plants growing in ecologically different areas.
• Exhibition – one science specialty Medicinal plants
• Conducts seminars, debats & other competitive exams.
• Departmental staff takes students for visits at Bejo Shital Seed Company, Jalna yearly.
